Our institution, established in 1966, run by Dehgam Taluka Education Society, and affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad is a dual faculty college in the rural area of Ahmedabad region. The institution is located at Dehgam. Dehgam is a small town of, Dist. Gandhinagar and is having population of 48000. With the guidance of visionary management members, scholars, principals and teachers, the college has earned esteemed reputation not only in Gandhinagar District but also in all over Gujarat. Initially the college started with Arts and Commerce faculties but due to requirement of the students, study center of DBAOU, Computer and English subject also offered in 1985, 2005 and 2006 respectively.
In humanities our institutes offer: Gujarati, Hindi, Psychology, History, English and Economics; in Commerce faculty Advance Accountancy as principal subjects at Graduation level. Vocational Courses like CCC, CCC + and Basic course of computers are offered to the students. In addition to routine teaching, highly qualified teachers of this institution are experimenters of things in teaching. With a view to arousing versatile personality of students, co-curricular and extracurricular activities like cultural, sports, N.S.S., N.C.C. CWDC are duly carried out here. A feather in the cap was added by establishment of Gitaben Patel Center of Interactive Learning which enabled us to keep pace with ever widening education flow. This auditorium is equipped with audio-visual aids and is a place for various conferences, seminars and cultural programmes.
We have number of University recognized research guides in the subjects i.e. Hindi, English and Physical Education under whom about 11 students have carried out their Ph.D. research work successfully and have been awarded with Doctorate Degree. Various short term programmes i.e Finishing School employability and life skill development training programme also run by the college to enhance skill of the students.
Our Institute accredited with ‘B’ Grade (CGPA 2.32) by NAAC. The institute is also accredited with ‘B’ Grade (CGPA 2.49) in AAA by KCG (Govt. of Gujarat). Now we are going to 2nd cycle of NAAC accreditation in the year 2022.
In addition to routine teaching, highly qualified teachers of this institution are actively involved in extension activities and innovations in teaching. With a view to arousing versatile personality of students, co-curricular and extracurricular activities like cultural, sports, N.S.S., N.C.C. W.D.C. are duly carried out here. Huge sports grounds, affluent library and laboratories, Eco-friendly academic atmosphere beautiful premises, well natured garden are the peculiarities of this institution.
In addition to that our College Administrative office and library are partially computerized. Rest of these we have started mobile application for the students. This facility provides hand on study materials, PPT, Video Lecture etc. for students.
Few months back for the maintaining eco-friendly environment and to conserve electricity consumption, the institute has installed solar plant of 33kv.The business tycoons, reputed leaders and citizens have remained the students of this institution and we are proud of such successful persons. In the near future this institution is going to introduce short term vocational courses and career oriented courses.
